Join us and exercise your English!
Introduction.-
The English courses by Universidad Popular started many years ago, filling the people's need to have enough level of English to get a job or simply for personal satisfaction. We teach with the same books used by the Official School of Languages (EOI) at Tomelloso and we try to use the same methodology (specially for evaluation), so that those of our students who wish to take their exams are ready for them.
The building.-
The building where we teach our lessons used to be a primary school. Now music (different instruments-saxofon, clarinet, piano, guitar,...-) dance (several styles) and English are taught.

The teachers.-

There are currently 3 teachers at Universidad Popular: Mari Carmen, Marian and Eloy (better known as "Mr Sánchez"). The students in Mr Sánchez'  Basic 2nd class briefly interviewed them so that people know a little about them and how they feel about their job.

Eloy Arencibia
My students would like to communicate with students in any English-speaking country. They would like to collaborate in any project designed to compare different cultures. My students' mother tongue is Spanish but they are learning English.

Culminating Activities:
The project culminates with an exchange of videos so that students can see each other's faces and possibly a meeting via Skype.

Students from Eloy Arencibia's class in Spain introduce themselves by video to their ePals in Kari Johnson's class in the United States.

Students from last year's Spain/USA email exchange recorded a typical Spanish Christmas carol to send to their ePals.
